www.JustBicycles.com Rocks. After competiting in competitionos for them and riding their bikes I'm convinced it is the best group ever.
In the words of Gomer Pyle, "Golly" they sure our nice!
Beach Cruisers have been the specialty for the longest of times but now they will be opening a site that is dedicated to economical Mountain Bikes. I have seen the line up and their are some great bikes that can take the downhill racing beating or the uphill mountain drudgery and still come up a winner. If you are sick of the Mountain Bikes which are junk or the $2000.00 models and nothing in between then stay tuned.

New BC106 Greenline Bicycles
Looks like the new models of the Greenline Bicycles have started to arrive. It was interesting that where Greenline put a dash of green on the 106 models for last year they have removed it this year. It is back to basics with the latest models.
As to Micargi Bicycles inventory levels are at a high that I haven't seen in a couple of years. I"m not sure if that is good planning on their part (because they have bicycles this time of year when other manufactures do not) of poor planning in that some of these seem to be left over from the Christmas season and others are bikes arriving considerably earlier than the actual season commencement.
Either way this is summing up to be a fantastic bicycle season. With the economy in the dumps bicycling and picnics would be a great way to safe some cash and still have a wonderful family outing.

Bicycle Season Early Birds Get the BEST BICYCLES MODELS

The bicycle season officially started last week. We can tell because the early bird shoppers always show up and scoop up the latest 2009 models.
There is a wide selection of new models this year. In fact Firmstrong Bicycles has done a complete 360 including changing their name to Firth Bicycles. Micargi still has inventory from 2008 and Greenline has several containers that are arriving in March.
Soooo, smart Bicycle shoppers are ordering now. Those waiting until March always have a smaller selection to pick from and by April it is a slug fest to get the model of Beach Cruisers that are desired.
Early soon and early often to get the bicycles you desire.

Comfort Bicycles are best known for their large overstuffed seats, coil springs to support the seat and allow extra comfort and wide balloon type tires.

Pink Beach Cruisers fall from grace . . .
Two Years ago Pink Beach Cruisers were all the rage . . .

Then came the Yellow Beach Cruisers and finally the Orange Beach Cruisers were the HOT colors for 2008.
2009 has yet to play out but my guess is the Green Beach Cruisers will make a resurgence. Unisex bicycles will be back in vogue and Bicycle Bells and Baskets are necessary accessories.
Rarely, is the extended S frame that is traditional on womens bikes requested anymore. BC106 will undoubtedly be popular again and the Firmstrong Bicycles which are tanks (when it comes to years of service) are always popular.

Bicycle Riding in at White Rock Lake - Dallas
I've never measured it but I'm told that it is 14 miles around White Rock Lake in Dallas. What I have determined is helmets and knee pads are a must for the ride around the lake. Walking around the lake I have two often bicycle riders end up on the concrete pavement trying to negotiate the turns. This seems particularly so when they go over the brides.
Once more it supports my ideas that Mountain Bicycle (MTB) should only be ridden in the Mountains. I have never seen a Beach Cruiser end up on the pavement because these riders are typically going slower and enjoying the ride rather than racing around.
