Micargi Bicycles Beach Cruisers have been in the lime light for almost a decade now. Glim and glamour highlight their line up. Many customers swear by these bicycles and certainly if you are looking for something for a single season of eye catching beauty the Micargi Beach Cruiser is a bargain at the low bicycle entry fee.
Model F Bicycles are quite a step up from Micargi Bicycles and something that can be expected to last several seasons and not have the grind and clash that one expects with a Micargi Bicycles. However, the down side is don't expect any head turning on a Model F (Sometimes distributed under other brand names) Bicycles Beach Cruisers but just consistent riding.
Greenline Bicycles are a new comer in the industry and have yet to pan out whether their consistent model changing will be customer attractive in the coming years or something that customers will shy away from knowing that each year models are changed out.
Finally, Cycle Source Group a dominant fiqure in the Bicycle business is no longer with us. (May they rest in peace:-) They have merged into a Great Britain Company that seems to be marketing high end bicycles with a penchant for Police Bicycles. Stay tuned for market updates with this company.

Pink Beach Cruisers fall from grace . . .
Two Years ago Pink Beach Cruisers were all the rage . . .

Then came the Yellow Beach Cruisers and finally the Orange Beach Cruisers were the HOT colors for 2008.
2009 has yet to play out but my guess is the Green Beach Cruisers will make a resurgence. Unisex bicycles will be back in vogue and Bicycle Bells and Baskets are necessary accessories.
Rarely, is the extended S frame that is traditional on womens bikes requested anymore. BC106 will undoubtedly be popular again and the Firmstrong Bicycles which are tanks (when it comes to years of service) are always popular.

Weather Perfect for a 3 speed bicycle
With the weather starting to improve here in the South USA I have been trying to decide which bicycle I should show off. As a bicycle shop employee I have my pic. I own all the stretch limo bicycles, beach cruiser bicycles and all the Firmstrong Bicycles, Greenline Bicycles, Nirve Bicycles and Mantis Beach Cruisers. You can say I'm bicycle poor. (I'm even adding the Schwinn Bicycles to my personal portfolio this year since bicycling has become my addiction:-)
I hear lots of people say that MTB Mountain Bikes are out of vogue. Not comforatable is to say the least.
The flip side is that when I ride my 3 speed Beach Cruiser (306A) I have the light weight feature that this aluminum bicycle brings and the speed and comfort of a multi speed beach cruiser.
So you decide. For me I"m riding my three speed bicycle tommorrow and the kids can trail afterwards on their 20 inch kids beach cruisers bicycles.

Bicycle Riding in at White Rock Lake - Dallas
I've never measured it but I'm told that it is 14 miles around White Rock Lake in Dallas. What I have determined is helmets and knee pads are a must for the ride around the lake. Walking around the lake I have two often bicycle riders end up on the concrete pavement trying to negotiate the turns. This seems particularly so when they go over the brides.
Once more it supports my ideas that Mountain Bicycle (MTB) should only be ridden in the Mountains. I have never seen a Beach Cruiser end up on the pavement because these riders are typically going slower and enjoying the ride rather than racing around.
